Client brief –

New age problem solvers, Reap Benefit, an NGO, had a 8’x 18’ garage space available to transform into a vibrant maker space. Every inch needed to be made useful to conduct workshops and hands-on experiments.

Our approach –

We wanted to provide a solution that transforms the space, thus creating more than one use for itself. Wall mounted folding tables that extend into a white or soft board, cove lit under an overhead storage unit were designed. All along the length of the room, 10 such units were installed. The TV viewing and tool storage wall was designed with  sliding doors that doubled up as a writing wall.

Boards made of recycled tetra packs were used instead of plywood wherever feasible. Ventilation systems were worked out in order to make it usable for long hours.
